What Makes Venezuela Beautiful?
Venezuela contains many gorgeous landscapes ranging from mountains to beaches. In fact, the country is home to the largest waterfall, Angel Falls ("10 Top Tourist...). Another major Venezuelan attraction is Los Roques, a major national park that houses a marine ecosystem ("10 Top Tourist...). The Avila surrounds the Venezuelan capital, Caracas, and it makes for a breath-taking view. In addition to gorgeous landscapes, Venezuela's environment is exceedingly diverse. In fact, according to the article, "Venezuela-Nature and Wildlife" Venezuela is one of the very few countries to be considered megadiverse. The country is home to over a thousand bird species as well as exotic animals ranging from jaguars to capybaras.

People
Most Venezuelans have a very distinct personality. According to the CultureGrams article "Venezuela: General Attitudes," Venezuelans are generally very upbeat, out-going people. Wherever they go is like a party, and they often speak very loudly. Family is often a major aspect of life. It is traditional to have large social gatherings with family and friends, whether it might be for a special occasion or a typical Sunday after church. Additionally, schedules are usually very loose. Venezuelans hold great pride in their independence movement leader, Simon Bolivar ("Venezuela: General Attitudes"). In fact, the currency is even named after him. The humanitarian crisis developing has greatly altered the lives of Venezuelans. Simply finding food has become a daily major struggle. Despite this great discouragement, people still have hope for their country.

Difficulties
The main difficulties of the country stem from the dilapidated economy and extreme socialist government. Hugo Chavez, the president of Venezuela from 1998 to 2013, instituted many policies like expropriation of land that only hurt the economy (Renwick). People are literally starving because the Venezuelan currency is virtually worthless due to extreme hyperinflation. Crime and corruption run rampant, and people no longer feel safe living in the country. Another major issue brewing as a result of the poor government system is a loss of electricity. In Zulia, a Venezuelan state, the inhabitants have to spend as long as day with absolutely no electricity (Armas). Millions of people have left Venezuela in hopes of a better future.
